This gives us the unique advantage of having the best of both worlds. Because we are fully committed to our chosen profession, in 2005 we made a significant investment into our home, thereby dedicating a large portion of our home strictly for daycare. In 2002 we bought our home with the sole intention of running a home daycare from it even before we had kids of our own. We did not turn to childcare by default, or because we lost our former job, or because one of us was a stay at home parent and figured "what the heck, might as well while I'm at it". We actively chose to make caring for children our life long career. And now that our older two boys are heavily focused on track and field we do a lot of training with them, and on our own, down on the track.īy far the most common question Jamie and I are asked by new parents visiting our daycare is "how do you manage to take care of all these kids and your own each day - we're having a hard time with just one?" Everyone is good at something, and Jamie and I are very good at caring for children. We workout out together nearly every morning, early, before work begins, doing quick and intense things such as stairs carrying kettlebells, deadlifts, weighted hill sprints, running, and weight training at the gym. Jamie has competed in a few fitness shows in recent past and enjoyed the challenge. Eric also summited MT Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft) with his parents back in 2012. We enjoy hiking (especially goal oriented ones) and have climbed MT Whitney (14,505 ft) many times over the years.

We are an active couple and like to keep fit. We are extremely proud of the reputation that we have built over these past years under the name of Building Blocks Home Daycare, and we look forward to continue serving families and their children for many years to come. We opened our home and began caring for children in May of 2002. We are both C.P.R and first aid certified. We are a husband and wife team that specialize in childcare for children ages one month to twenty four months old. This allows us to solely focus on our infant only program and enables us to give more one-on-one attention to the children in our care.
